Safety First is created by the artist duo Rom & Kvarme. The performance has been held in two different locations: Galleri Q in Copenhagen and Line M2 in Copenhagen.

Taking regulations as our starting point, we conduct safety demonstrations where we deliberately break these rules—questioning rules as a norm. We are critical of a society with too many rules; we are human, we make mistakes, and we learn from them. We don’t need that many rules.

At the same time, we wanted to explore how much we can actually do without breaking the rules. This creates a satirical universe where we generate both resistance and joy within an otherwise gray everyday life.
